The Community-Powered Cruising Guide

Today we launched the beta version of Anchorage.io - a community powered cruising guide for boaters. The goal of this project is organize first-hand knowledge of boating locations throughout the world. Well, not just organize it, but present it in a way that is fun and useful to cruisers out exploring the high seas. If you don’t already know how it works, check out this page.

A few notes on the launch

Currently, we have limited the number of cruising locations that focus on 3 regions, including California, the Pacific Northwest, and Mexico. In the coming months, we will expand these regions to include the US East Coast, Bahamas, South Pacific, etc.

Exciting things to come…

Here’s a quick list of things to come

  • Expansion of Locations
  • iOS App. We have an mobile app in development, but are pushing this back until we can truly release something special.
  • Improvement of PDF Export Options
  • Hooking up our pioneering members with t-shirts and stuff. Details to come on specific requirements, but we will make all early contributes of content eligible.
